It’s Character, Not Reputation

Yesterday, we looked at keeping our word.  This goes directly to our character.  It’s all about character, with character being who you are when you are alone, with nobody else looking.  Your reputation is the image that you present or portray to folks when they are looking.

I hold myself to the highest of standards, not the standard my customers, clients, or my employers have for me.  My standard for myself is to be the absolute best that I can be or I can’t sleep at night.  My Inner Olympian (conscience) won’t let me become a slacker or  “Cheez Whiz”.

Character of Peak Performer

To become a Peak Performer requires the Mental Toughness to work on your character, not your reputation.  If you focus on building your character, becoming the absolute best that you can become and maximizing your own potential, then your reputation will match up, as a by-product of great character.

If you are only concerned with your reputation, your life is a house of cards.  Focus on building great character (performing at your highest levels even when nobody else is looking), and you are on your way to Peak Performance!!

Boo yah!!

PS. If you eat “right” in front of others but “binge” when nobody else is looking and then feel bad about it CLICK HERE, I can help you.
